Galesburg June 15 /98
My Dear Girl,
H[1] wrote you last Sunday. Could not get a chance to send it out. I told her I would write, see if I had better luck than she had. She write you she would be at Kal[2] last night to hear Mrs Carpenter speak and wished you to be there. She went with Mr and Mrs F–. They are going this eve would like to have her go with them. She would go if it was not for Ethens[3] part of it. She was pleased with the talk and tests. She is very busy but will try to arange her work so she can go to your house a week from next friday eve. 24. if you or Lela[4] can meet her at the Depot. If she can go before will let you know. We are usualy well.

Thanks, Judi. Glad you enjoyed them. Nancy was my great-grandmother but died in 1925 so if it weren’t for the family stories and these letters, she would just be another name to me. So glad my family saved all these letters.
