Jul 30 – At home all day. Kept Fan in Barn all day. Ethan went down to Marts after Hannah.
Jul 31 – Cut hole into west Leanto attic. Rainy some rained some in night. Hannah went Down to Streators in Evening to make Dress for Mrs Streator.[81]
Aug 1 – Put frame into the Partition. Rainy afternoon warm. Ban Jacobs hors in pasture.
Aug 2 – Worked round shop and house. Sawed out violin tops. Rained in night.
Aug 3 – Put violin top together. Rainy day some. Not feeling very well.
Aug 4 – Cloudy some sprinkle not much. Cats came back this morning.
Aug 5 – Worked on violin top some. Nancy and children came over. Nel Bristol came over with them.
Aug 6 – Ed Flanders paid me $5.00. Rainy afternoon. Jim carried Mrs Betts over to Burg. Jim went up to Jo Smiths in afternoon.
Aug 7 – Worked in shop some. Chored round. Some rainy.
Aug 8 – Went down to Mrs Browns got Horse and wagon. Went over to Burg got lumber to seel the west bedroom over head. Mr Kent commenced cutting the oats. Charley Town cutting Oats.
Aug 9 – Went over to Burg in morning got paint and paper for Bedroom. Mr Kent cutting oats. Some rain.
Aug 10 – Put on seeling. Kent finished cutting oats. Old Mr Patterson Died.[82] Cool wind cloudy.
Aug 11 – Repaired Bills Poke in morning.
Aug 12 – Finished putting on seeling. Worked in shop some. Florence and Boy called here in Evening.
Aug 13 – At home all day. Hank here to Breakfast. Carried Mrs Betts over to Burg. Ethan and Hannah went down to Mrs Browns.
