Dear Cousin –

I meant to have written you yesterday, but I had so much fitting to do that I could not do so. Are you coming out to the picnic Thursday? I shall look for you. I am going to shut up shop and go.

How I wish Grandma[1] could come, too. I rec’d a letter from Lou[2] a while ago, but haven’t answered it yet. Come if you can.
