Jun 13 – Went over to burg in morning. Quin[79] left for Ohio. Henry took possession of store. Strait came over. Sarah went over to burg. Henry came over stayed all night.
Jun 14 – West over to burg in morning.
Jun 15 – At home. Mart brot Patty and Katharine up. Stafford and Henry came here.
Jun 16 – Carried Hannah to Mr Flanders. Turned twelve pins for Ayres Raymond. Got two bushels corn of M O Streator. Worked on cultivator.
Jun 17 – Finished cultivator. Jim cultivating.
Jun 18 – Carried all hands over to burg to see show come in. I came home. Hoed some plowed out garden. Sarah, Patty, Katharine and Hannah went.
Jun 19 – Hoed gardens. Davis came down got pattern made. Lucy came up. I went over after Patty and Katharine at night. Henry went to Comstock to get rollers cast.
Jun 20 – Worked in garden. Plowed out gardens. Mr Flanders came down took all the folks up to his house. I carried Katharine home at night.
Jun 21 – Hoed garden. Had a good rain. Went over to burg in Evening. George Travis stayed here all night.
Jun 22 – Cloudy morning. At home. Went in swimming. Warm day. Went over after Nancy.
Jun 23 – Nancy went to Kalamazoo. I went to Comstock after castings. Patty went with me. Henry Nobles married to day at Niles Mich.[80]
Jun 24 – Not much done. Not very well. Henry came over worked on binder. Lucy came up after Hannah and Patty. Hot day Mercury 92 in shade.
Jun 25 – Not very well. No work to day. Jim cultivated Buckwheat ground.
Jun 26 – Not very well. Mr Brown sowed Buckwheat for me. Had a shower in night.
Jun 27 – Carried Sarah over to burg in morning. Jim cultivated corn for Brown. Had a fine shower in afternoon. Dell came after his harvester. Rained in Evening.
Jun 28 – Worked round in shop some. Hoed garden some. Repaired cradle for A. Caywood.
Jun 29 – Fine day. Went down to Winslows Island to a meeting. Patty and Lucy went. Charley Towns[81] Bull screwed a calf into the old Cow so says Jim.
Jun 30 – Hoed some and chored around. Jesse Turner and wife[82] came here stayed all night.
