Jan 7 – At home. Alfleda here. No snow on ground good wheeling.
Jan 8 – Drawed some wood on sleigh. Scoured new shoes. Went down to Catharines.
Jan 9 – Killed my hogs. Mart and A. Brown and Wes helped me. Mr Schram killed my cow.
Jan 10 – Sold J. C. Blake two hogs weight 6.74 lbs 4.85 cts. pr hundred. Got my beef. Carried my cast iron up to B. Hartwells had 300. lbs 1½ pr lb 4.50.
Jan 11 – Went up to Mr Kirbys. Cool wind almost rains. Lois at home a while.
Jan 12 – Went down to Catharines after Nancy. Swaddle girls here Libby Allen here. Mr Plank got some beef.
Jan 13 – Went up to Wesleys. Got a pig. Went over to burg paid my tax 12.53. Will Plank stayed all night Drawed 100. Dollars of town treasurer for District No 7. Dick Lamkins brot violin to be repaired.
Jan 14 – Pleasant morning.
Jan 15 – Snowed some. Went over to burg bot some glue.
Jan 16 – Snowes snow 2½ inches this morning. Sarah went over to Janes. I drawed one load wood. Went over after Sarah in Evening.
Jan 17 – Cloudy not very cold. Put the hair in one End of Dicks bow. Put bottom on chopping bowl. John Sherman broke down had a big load wood.
Jan 18 – Found new lamb this morning, all right.
