Henry is letting Nancy know they arrived home safely and rode home on the train with Mr. Starr.
Pavilion Nov 22nd /67
Dear Sister[1]
I thought I would write you a few lines to let you know that we wer safe at home. When we got to Jackson who should we see but Mr Starr.[2] He came into the car and came on with us so you see we had company all the way home. We had a very pleasant time coming. Mr Starr is very good company. We found the folks all well. You must excuse a short letter for I am in a great hurry. I have but a short time before the mail goes. Frank and Nellie[3] go to school no more.

[2] Noah Starr, father of his aunt, Alfleda (Starr) Keith
[3] Frank and Nellie Tomlinson, the children of George & Marion (Sprague) Tomlinson; Marion was his paternal first cousin. Henry had been in Rochester, New York, learning the telegraph trade (see 4-26-1867 letter) and apparently visited with the Tomlinsons, who lived in Pavilion, New York, while there
