Alexander Randall was the sixth governor of Wisconsin, serving from 1858 – 1861
The family was visiting relatives from September 5th through October 26th and Luke mentions quite often that Sarah was sick. Since their daughter, Louese, was born July 3, 1861, it is quite possible that at least some of Sarah’s sick times were due to morning sickness
A search of FindAGrave.com shows that Hiram Beach is buried in Roof Cemetery, Climax, Kalamazoo County, Michigan. He was born in 1841 to David and Sarah (Bassett) Beach.
Presume he is referring to Joseph York’s mother, Dorothy (Boardman) York
